Greenville Technical College

The didactic and laboratory phases of this course will prepare students to collect, handle and test blood specimens. It will gave them the necessary skills needed for working under pressure, communicating effectively to colleagues and patients, and working in a health care or laboratory setting. The clinical phase will be completed in three weeks in a local health care setting.
Classes are held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30pm – 8:30 pm. The course can be completed in three months. The total cost of this program is $809.
Upon successful completion of this program students will be eligible to take the ASCP national board exam to gain certification as a phlebotomist.
Horry Georgetown Technical College

Midlands Technical College

They will also be prepared to follow universal precautions, tie tourniquets, identify veins, and use the necessary medical equipment in the clinical site.
The tuition for this program is $725. Additional fees for books, a SLED check, gloves and immunizations will cost extra.
This phlebotomy program will enable students to work as an entry level phlebotomist. Those who wish to become a certified phlebotomist will be prepared to take the national examination.
TriCounty Technical College
