Two of the classes included in the curriculum are offered at the Coffeyville Community College campus and the clinical experience will take place in a medical facility located in a separate location.

The three courses included in the curriculum are: MEDA-128 Phlebotomy Essential Class, MEDA-129 Phlebotomy Clinical Applications, and EMTP-115- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). The second portion (which students can choose to enroll in) is Phlebotomy Field Experience during which time students must complete 120 documented hours with a minimum 100 combined venipunctures and skin punctures.

The first option is to complete a 56-hour course during seven weeks, at least 30 in-house venipuncture sticks, and take the National Healthcareers Association (NHA) exam.

The second option is to complete the 56-hour course, at least 30 venipuncture sticks, and 100-hour clinical externship at local hospitals or medical settings, and take ASCP Board of Certification exam.
