In this course, students will learn how to collect timed specimens, document their collections and specimens, follow laboratory procedures including paperwork and safety procedures, process and order supplies, clean the phlebotomy area, file and chart their collections, and deal with possible hazards.

This course includes in class learning, laboratory skills practice, and 50 hours at a clinical externship.
