This program will qualify individuals to work in hospitals, doctor offices, laboratories, clinics, nursing homes and much more.

The training that takes place in this program will prepare individuals to draw blood from patients or donors for the purpose of diagnostic testing, laboratory analysis or other medical purposes. Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm – 9pm for a total of sixteen weeks. During this training, students will complete a total of 100 clinical hours.

The cost of this program is $1355.

This program will prepare students to collect blood specimens for the purpose of medical diagnostics, laboratory analysis and other medical uses. Students will be qualified to work in hospitals, neighborhood health center, medical group practices, HMO’s, public health facilities and more.



BridgeValley Community and Technical College

BridgeValley Community and Technical College offers a Phlebotomy Technician Program.







This program includes 90 hours of classroom instruction and lab exercises, and a 120 hour clinical rotation. Classroom instruction and lab work will include topics and practices such as terminology, anatomy and physiology, blood collection procedures, specimen hands-on practice, and the proper training techniques to perform different puncture methods. The clinical rotation is completed over a duration of three weeks. During the clinical, students will be able to put theory into practice under the supervision of hospital personnel.

Individuals must be prepared to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and have up to date immunizations before beginning the practicum.
