Onondaga Community College offers program of phlebotomy technician training.
Students of the 7-week program will practice at a select list of approved clinical sites in Onondaga, Oswego, and Cortland counties. After completing the program and the clinical practice, students will be eligible to sit for the Technician Certification Exam in Phlebotomy through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
Founded in 1961, Onondaga Community College has two campuses, a 280-acre main campus in Syracuse, New York, and a nearby satellite location in Liverpool, New York.

The 90-hour program includes both classroom instruction and lab practice. Students will also have the opportunities to participate 40-hour clinical externships. After completing the program, students will be eligible to participate the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Exam and the National Workforce Career Association (NWCA) Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Exam.
