Turtle Mountain College is located in Belcourt, North Dakota and offers a Phlebotomy Technician program. This program will combine theory and practice through classroom instruction, laboratory exercises and a phlebotomy practicum.
The phlebotomy program will train students in the techniques needed for properly obtaining blood specimens, handling and transporting them, and analyzing and testing them in a laboratory setting. Students will be prepared to work in labs, clinics, hospitals, blood banks and other similar health care settings.
This program follows the requirements that are set by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
Upon successful completion of this program, students will receive a certificate from the college, may take the National Registry Exam for licensure, and will be qualified to work as an entry-level phlebotomist.
