Bismarck State College

Programs Offered: Phlebotomy Technician







Location: Bismarck (1500 Edwards Avenue, Bismarck, ND 58506)

Bismarck State College offers a Phlebotomy Technician Program. This is a 24 credit hour program that can be completed in two semesters.
The first semester of this program includes sixteen credit hours of classroom instruction and hands-on laboratory training. Students will complete courses in Introduction to Computers, College Composition I, Human Structure & Function or Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology and Phlebotomy. During the second semester of training students will complete an eight credit hour Phlebotomy Internship.
The College only accepts ten students per semester, so individuals should be sure to apply and enroll in the program early.
Upon successful completion of this program students will earn a certificate of completion from Bismarck State College and will also be qualified to take the national certification examination.



Sanford Health

Programs Offered: Phlebotomy Program

Sanford Health Hospital offers a Phlebotomy Program for those who are in the local community. This Phlebotomy program will prepare students to become certified phlebotomists that can draw, transport and analyze blood specimens.
This is a full time program that can be completed in five weeks. Classes begin between 5am and 7am and last eight hours per day. The total cost of this program is $565 plus additional fees for liability insurance and an application fee.
Individuals who wish to enroll in this program must be at least 18 years old, speak English fluently, and have and high school diploma or GED.
The hospital conveniently offers Phlebotomy training in five different locations throughout the Fargo area.



Turtle Mountain Community College

Programs Offered: Phlebotomy Technician

Location: Belcourt (10145 BIA Rd 7, Belcourt, ND 58316)

Turtle Mountain College is located in Belcourt, North Dakota and offers a Phlebotomy Technician program. This program will combine theory and practice through classroom instruction, laboratory exercises and a phlebotomy practicum.
The phlebotomy program will train students in the techniques needed for properly obtaining blood specimens, handling and transporting them, and analyzing and testing them in a laboratory setting. Students will be prepared to work in labs, clinics, hospitals, blood banks and other similar health care settings.
This program follows the requirements that are set by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
Upon successful completion of this program, students will receive a certificate from the college, may take the National Registry Exam for licensure, and will be qualified to work as an entry-level phlebotomist.
