Programs Offered: Certified Phlebotomy Technician Training Program

The phlebotomy training program offered at Delaware Technical Community College consists of 135 class hours, which can be completed in 7 weeks. The classes are given from 5pm-10pm Monday through Thursday.
The tuition of this option is $2,400, and upon successfully completing training, students become eligible to sit for a national certification exam. This program teaches students how to use various techniques of collecting blood samples, an introductory to anatomy and physiology, HIPAA guidelines, an introduction to medical terminology, and more. The curriculum is taught through both classroom learning and laboratory hands-on training, so students can feel confident in their abilities as they begin work in a functioning healthcare facility.

Polytech Adult Education offers a course of phlebotomy.
The course covers procedure of venipuncture, butterfly, and microcapillary collection of blood samples, appropraite order of draw, specimen handling and processing, and more.
Polytech Adult Education also offers a review course for students to prepare for the NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam.
